Keno was born in Washington, D.C. into a family of contractors. He grew up around construction and lived in several homes he witnessed being built from the ground up. Ultimately, he helped his mother run the family construction business.
Thereafter, Keno went on to earn a B.A. in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and studied at The American Conservatory Theatre Drama School in San Francisco. While living in the Bay Area, Keno sold real estate in the challenging market of the 1980's.
From San Francisco to New York to Los Angeles, Keno has worked in design and production on several national publications including Martha Stewart Living, Architectural Digest and Good Housekeeping. From his experience at these publications, as well as several international advertising firms, Keno has developed a solid understanding of creative design and marketing. He has also worked in the field of Information Technology and is well versed in New Media, especially as it relates to marketing your home or helping you find a new residence.
Other jobs have included: Actor (Law and Order: SVU), Theatre Director, Film Director and Writer. His award-winning short film, A Lesson in Biology, appeared in festivals throughout the world.
Keno recently appeared as himself on Bravo's "Realty Reality" show Bidding Wars, where he represented buyers competing to purchase a breathtaking Gregory Ain mid-century in Tarzana.
Although Keno started his real estate career in San Francisco, he has taken hiatuses to pursue other interests in New York and elsewhere. He reinstated his broker's license upon returning to California, and in 2006 was named "Rookie of the Year" at Keller Williams Hollywood Hills. Keno is a proud member of the West Hollywood Chapter of BNI: Business Network International, and has served as its President.
